The Sunny Alps
The mighty but easily accessible Julian Alps, the tourist area in the attractive geographical area are linked by the offer of four developed tourists’ towns: Bled, Bohinj, Kranjska gora, and Bovec with Soca Valley. Most of the area is within the Triglav National Park.
The Mysterious Karst
Limestone and water have created characteristic karst phenomena such as Postojna Cave, one of the largest and most easily accessible caves in the world, and Skocjan Caves , World Heritage Site.

Lowlands with vineyards
Extensive vineyards, which rise from the edge of Maribor are interwoven with more than 50 kilometers of wine roads. Maribor, the second most important centre and town of Slovenia, is developed in the foothills of Pohorje, the green oasis on the eastern edge of the Alps.

Green Mediterranean coast
The Slovene coast, stretching short, but nonetheless beautiful 46,4 kilometers, is covered with abundant vegetation. Here are the Secovlje salt works, a regional park and a rich sanctuary of a plant and animal world. The towns of Piran, Izola and Koper attract visitors with their medieval image. Portorose is a lively tourist town with plenty of comfortable hotels and modern swimming pools.

Ljubljana, a capital city, has been described by visitors as a smaller Prague. Despite the fact that it ranks among the middle sized European cities, it maintains the friendliness of a small town, while at the same time it possesses all the characteristics of a metropolis. Due to its (central) geographical position, Ljubljana represents an ideal point to discover the amazingly diverse features and beauty of Slovenia.

Flights and transfers
Airport
The international airport in Slovenia is Ljubljana - Brnik. Carriers: Adria Airways, Lufthansa, EasyJet, Swissair, British Airways and others.
There are frequent bus connections between Ljubljana Airport and the City of Ljubljana and Kranj. Another possible transportation is taxi. The taxi rank is in front of the terminal, and taxis are available according to the actual arrivals of flights. Fares from the Airport to Ljubljana City cost approximately 7.000 SIT (depending on the desired destination of the trip). Telephone number: +386 4 20 61 678. Several car rental agencies can also be found on the airport.
Near airports are also Trieste and Venice (Italy), Klagenfurt , Vienna, Graz (Austria), and Munich (Germany).

Exchange rate for Slovenian Tolar: 1 EUR = 240 SIT valid thru 2006. On 1.1.2007 EURO will become the official currency.
